About Chain O' Lakes Softball League
The Chain O’ Lakes Softball League (COLSL) is a recreational league made up of girls softball programs from McHenry and Lake Counties. COLSL organizes interleague play, allowing individual town programs to compete against other local teams during the spring and fall seasons.

The league offers divisions for age groups 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U. Games are played in accordance with IHSA rules, with some league-specific exceptions.

The spring season runs through May and June and concludes with a playoff-style tournament, ending in a championship game to determine the annual league champion. The fall season features one game per week, held during September and October.

COLSL does not field teams directly. Players must register through their local township or community softball program to participate. Current participating towns include:
